Improve Taste

Removes chlorine and
chloramines.

Chlorine and chloramines are powerful and important disinfectants used in major public water supplies to kill disease-causing germs such as salmonella, campylobacter and norovirus, as well as bacteria, molds and algae.2

However, chlorine and chloramine can result in off-tasting water. Water filtration via carbon filter or reverse osmosis removes these two chemicals and improves the taste of your tap water.

Avoid Dangerous Metals

Reduces lead contaminants.

Lead gets into drinking water in a number of ways, mostly via plumbing such as lead pipes, faucets and fixtures, and service pipes that connect to water mains. Consuming water contaminated with lead can cause negative health effects for people (and pets!), but especially children.3

While the Safe Drinking Water Act reduced the maximum allowable lead content in fixtures, corrosion is still a problem. A reverse osmosis water filtration system reduces lead by 99%.

Filter Out Contaminants

Reduces PFOs and PFAs.

Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOs) and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs) are man-made substances that are often found in public water systems. They are on the Environmental Protection Agency's list of "unregulated contaminants"4 that are not safe at certain levels in drinking water.

Activated carbon and reverse osmosis have both been shown to be effective at reducing these chemicals from drinking water.
